Senior Electrical Estimator, Based in Hertfordshire, Excellent Package Circa 50K plus Company Car & Performance Related Bonus

The role primarily involves estimating and tendering for REC electrical and associated civil construction works within Grid, Primary and Secondary Substations on voltages ranging from LV to 132Kv.

Representing the company in Electrical Contractors Association meetings

Monitoring Lloyd?s Accreditation Scheme Procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

To include the following: -

Preparing tender packages/estimates to include preliminaries, CDM Regulations, site set up, programme of works, organigrams, milestone payments, Terms and Conditions and Project Clarification Notes.

Attending pre and post tender meetings to discuss the client?s requirements.

Working closely with sub-contractors, wholesalers, manufacturers, utilising their expertise and knowledge to complete tenders more efficiently.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is likely to have twenty years experience in the electrical construction industry and good working knowledge of the following: -

Substation switch houses new builds and refurbishment.

Trenching, laying LV / HV cables and earthing systems.

Training will include City and Guilds Electrical Installations and IEE Wiring Regulations. Microsoft packages including Project and some experience in Estimating Packages would be useful.

A Degree education would be preferable but not absolutely necessary.
