A Senior Engineer (Building Structures) is required to join a structures team in Manchester, working on a wide range of projects including commercial, retail, health, industrial and education. The department currently offers an advisory, feasibility and design service from inception of a project, through to completion. Within the role of Senior Engineer you would be required to attend project meetings, working with other disciplines to produce a detailed design and specification to meet with design and construction programmes. You will also ensure the co-ordination of design and detailing work appropriate to the project.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Senior Engineer you must be qualified with a degree in civil or structural engineering. You should also be recently or nearing Chartership with a relevant professional body. Likely to be a Structural Engineer looking to take the next step with their career, or a Senior Engineer feeling frustrated in their current role.
You should be commercially aware and technically competent with experience of design and build contracts. You should also be highly motivated and ambitious as prospects for promotion within this role are very good. You should have extensive experience in a similar role, ideally with a design consultancy. You should be familiar with British design codes.
