Job Description

Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist
A world leader in providing fully integrated technical consulting services to the international mining industry has an exciting opportunity for a senior environmental engineer/scientist in their Cardiff office.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and manage high profile projects, together with providing mentoring and guidance to the multi-disciplinary team. Frequent overseas travel will form a major part of the role and knowledge of foreign languages would therefore be advantageous.

Applicants should have a minimum of 8 years experience including management of large projects. Excellent technical report writing, and business development skills are also essential.

The projects include EIA, EMP and project permitting for feasibility studies; environmental due diligence review and audit for major project financing; technical assistance to operations; and closure and rehabilitation planning and implementation.

Qualifications/Skills Required

- degree in a science or engineering subject
- higher degree and/or the majority of their experience in environmental disciplines
- 8 years experience
- Experience of managing large projects
- Excellent communicational and report writing skills
