A Senior Geotechnical Engineer is required to join a geotechnical team in Warrington, within a multidisciplinary office. You will be involved with a wide range of projects and will be required to provide technical expertise in geotechnical analysis and foundation design. You will also be involved with some aspects of bid preparation and negotiation and will be partly responsible for the management and coordination of both small and major projects. You will also be required to provide technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.

Qualifications/Skills Required

To apply for the role of Senior Geotechnical Engineer you will have an academic background in either civil engineering or engineering geology and a related MSc qualification would be an advantage. You must have a strong track record in geotechnical analysis and design and should have a significant amount of previous experience with a fast moving, engineering consultancy.

You should have a good understanding of soil mechanics and preferably some experience of foundation design. You should also be approaching or have achieved Chartership. You must have demonstrable experience of managing the geotechnical element of more than one scheme at a time. You should also be innovative with excellent report writing and communication skills.

A UK driving licence is also essential for the role as there will be an element of travel, and you should also be in a position to obtain UK security clearance
to SC level, due to the nature of the project workload.
