The role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller is a key appointment in the team which can offer excellent project opportunities and fantastic career prospects with a leading UK consultancy.
Essentially your role will be a project management role running day to day activities of the modelling team and programme managing the works schedule in line with project requirements.
You will be working on projects to build and verify hydraulic models to Yorkshire Water’s RTA4 specification. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Data collection and analysis work
- Liaising with external organisations including client representatives and contracting partners
- Monthly forecasting
- Utilising the company Contract Management System.
- Supervision and mentoring of junior staff
The role is expected to develop into a broader role across our clients group, providing support to other offices and developing your team as a centre of excellence.
Qualifications/Skills Required
This is a senior appointment in the team and as such you will be expected to act in a professional manner to represent the company. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident in a client facing role.
It is essential that you have experience in relevant modelling software packages such as InfoWorks CS and HydroWorks as well as having an understanding of MapInfo.
You must be able to produce accurate technical reports and be capable of organising and managing a busy programme of work. Ideally applicants will be Chartered (ICE / CIWEM).
