The role of Senior / Principal Permanent Way Engineer will include undertaking track surveying, plain line design, switches and crossings design, optioneering and drainage design. You will also be required to liaise with Clients, prepare feasibility reports and method statements.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Senior / Principal Permanent Way Engineer you should have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Alternatively an OND/HND in Civil Engineering qualification would be considered with extensive relevant UK work experience. You should be currently working towards IEng, CEng or MICE.
You should also be able to demonstrate good leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should be flexible and show self motivation and initiative.
