Work is predominantly secured in the transportation interchange sector for developments at airports, rail and coach stations though other projects such as higher education, retail and commercial make up an ever-increasing proportion of their workload.
Employees are rewarded with a stakeholders pension (switching to a company pension after a year's service) with employers contribution of 2% increasing to 3% after 2 years service, 22 days holiday (increasing to 24 for 2 years service and 26 for 5 years service - 3 days set aside for Christmas), discretionary annual bonus and death in service benefit at 2.5 times your salary.
With an expanding workload the Sheffield office of this practice requires an Architect with good project running and supervisory skills to join them. This practice is offering a good opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their career with a forward-looking team.
Qualifications/Skills Required
As a registered (RIBA) Architect you will be able to demonstrate a broad range of design 'know-how' coupled with your post-qualification experience.
A strong background in the transport and education sector would be ideal but is by no means a prerequisite for this position as there is a varied workload. More important will be your pragmatic approach and eye for innovative design.
You will of course be AutoCAD literate and have a good knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
