Senior Risk Analyst - Acquisitions
A leading Credit Card provider based in Cardiff has an immediate vacancy for a Senior Risk Analyst (Acquisitions).

The Role
• To support the Risk Acquisition Strategy team in the creation, delivery and monitoring of new strategies.
• As the senior analyst in the strategy development side of the team, the role holder will be expected to look out for opportunities to improve the risk profile, increase volumes and reduce false positives of all acquisition strategies.
• The role holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining key business models. They will be expected to play a part in the initial development of new models and to take responsibility for the ongoing improvement of them. They will be required to use their own initiative to vigorously test and improve all models built by the team. This will require the role-holder to understand complex and sophisticated computer based models and the associated business drivers and needs.

You will be required to support Head of Acquisition on all initiatives where required. The initiatives in this business area require a high level of expertise and are involved in multi million pound decisioning. The role-holder will need to be accomplished at dealing with complex data and turning it into usable and concise solutions.

Candidate Specification
• Highly numerate eg Applied Stats, Maths or Physics degree
• A capable communicator, able to represent PL at a senior level
• Experience in a responsible analytic role
• Excellent organisational skills
• Able to work well on own initiative
• Demonstrable excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good team player
• Experience with a well-regarded credit card business is highly desirable (Experience using high-end data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, SPSS) is highly desirable

In return you will be offered a basic salary of £35,000 plus bonus (20%), healthcare, pension, shares etc…
