A Senior Structural CAD Technician is required to join a small team in Sheffield. The team has recently been established to work closely with the existing Leeds team, expanding current workload in the Sheffield area. Duties will include the production of structural AutoCAD drawings and details in all materials, including steelwork, timber, masonry and reinforced concrete. This is an exciting time in the office's development, as there are currently three staff. Rapid expansion is planned and this is a key requirement. Current project workload is being fed from the well established Leeds office, and consists predominantly of education and retail projects. This workload will diversify as the client base develops in the Sheffield area.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Structural CAD Technician you should be HNC / HND qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering. You must have extensive experience using AutoCAD within a structural engineering team. You should have experience of dealing with clients' and contractors' queries. You should have good communication skills and experience in structural steelwork is essential. Experience in reinforced concrete and detailing roads and drainage would be an advantage.
