A Senior Structural Engineer is required to join the office in Newcastle, taking responsibility for projects from concept to completion. You will be required to lead and develop the team including graduates and technicians. You will also be required to attend design and site meetings. You will be involved with business development using existing contacts, working on a variety of projects, developing project briefs and delivering jobs on target. You will also establish cost targets and ensure profitability by effective management of the team. The types of projects you will be involved with are very diverse as clients range from large multinationals, to public sector bodies and private companies.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Senior Structural Engineer you must have extensive engineering experience within a design consultancy. You must have experience designing with all structural materials according to British standards. You must be able to produce letters, emails and reports to a high standard. You should feel confident in your ability to lead and develop a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be degree qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering and should have achieved, or be close to achieving Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
