Job Description
The Technical Programme Manager is responsible for programme and project management of support the business initiatives. This position will lead software development and integration projects from conceptualization through implementation, including phases such as change management, requirements definition, risk management, technical design, build, deploy and capture value.
Projects will vary but may include third party business integrations, new product development and other new business capability development.
Responsibilities
Manage key strategic internal client relationships with project stakeholders and senior management;
Drive project requirements, priorities and deadlines, not just record & manage them.
Lead highly skilled, cross-functional teams (software developers, IT Operations, vendors, business stakeholders and consultants) across one or more projects. Manage large-scale software integration and customization.
Develops and manages budget for assigned project(s), monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Prepares and presents progress reports for management.
Interacts at very high levels with decision-makers both internally and externally. Manage expectations and provide master project planning to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are met cost effectively and according to project timeline commitments.
Solves problems. Prioritizes deliverables and manages project scope.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
Requirements
Proficient in methods and techniques for efficient project management, such as Prince2, MS Project
Previous experience as a Project Manager or Programme Manager
Proven Experience in managing medium scale change programmes, typically representing values ranging between £1 and £3 million.
5 or more years of experience with the development or integration of large web functionalities
Project management experience including full scale responsibility in leading large-scale, cross-functional technology projects through full project cycle; preferably in a fast changing environment
