A Senior Transport Planner is required to join an expanding transportation team in Leeds. You will be involved with an interesting and challenging workload. The majority of the current workload will involve assessment of transport implications for new development projects. You will become involved with a wide range of client accounts at once. The transportation team in Leeds is expanding fairly rapidly and therefore the role offers candidates excellent career opportunities.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Senior Transport Planner you must have extensive previous UK experience in a similar role with a design consultancy or local authority. Typically from a Civil Engineering or numerate background you should a relevant degree, and an MSc would be of advantage.
You should be able to assess the implications of new developments and prepare transport assessments. You should also be able to use relevant IT packages such as TRICS, ARCADY, TRANSYT, PICADY and LINSIG, and should be able to develop travel plans. The role will also require you to become involved with feasibility design of highway, cycle and pedestrian improvements. You should have experience of managing projects and a valid UK driving licence.
