A Senior Transport Planner is required to join the multi disciplinary office in Leeds. The role will involve provision of input into projects covering transport policy, modelling, demand forecasting, option and strategy development as well as project appraisal and scheme business case work. There will also be the opportunity to develop client skills and project management skills as well as training responsibilities for less experienced staff. This post has only recently been created, therefore the scope of duties may change as the role develops, with more responsibility for business development and client care.

Qualifications/Skills Required

To apply for the position of Senior Transport Planner you should be degree qualified in civil engineering or a relevant numeric subject with a further degree in a transport related subject. You should have extensive experience working within a similar technical role on projects for both public and private sector clients.

Your experience should also cover some / all of the following computer packages: TRIPS/CUBE, SATURN, knowledge and application of webTAG, advanced Excel, Access, TUBA and AIMSUN/Paramics/VISSIM micro-simulation packages.
