A Signalling Design Engineer is required to join a team in York, to be involved with signalling design work at all GRIP stages, though current workload is at GRIP 3/4 and 5. Work will cover a wide area of signalling from project conception to testing and commissioning cover giving you the opportunity to rapidly compile evidence to move up the licensing hierarchy.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Signalling Design Engineer you must hold IRSE licenses to enable you to carry out production of concept design and engineering detailed design documents. You must also be willing to work towards attaining suitable IRSE licenses enabling you to carry out production of concept design, and to carry out independent checking / verification of concept design and detailed design.
You must have significant experience in a similar position, working to Network Rail’s GRIP procedures. You should also have good working knowledge of Microstation and PLANS software. Membership to a relevant professional body such as IRSE would be an advantage.
