Over the past forty year this company has grown into one of the major contractors in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. This client offers a total package of services; from enabling works and infrastructure through traditional contracting to design and build and partnered schemes. They work with both public and private sector clients on both high profile sites and small refurbishment projects, regardless of size, location or prestige.
They undertake a large variety of projects; including commercial, heritage, retail, design and build, industrial, leisure, Prisons, education, health and many more. The company group is seen as major contractor in the Yorkshire region and well respected amongst both large and small clients.
This organisation is looking for a Site Manager to undertake various projects in the Yorkshire area; this will typically involve both new build and refurbishment contracts. The projects will be undertaken in the Yorkshire region with a value between £500,000 and £1 Million. Each one will require the Site Manager to completely take control of all on site activity including all trades and labour.
Due to the company’s growth and activities in the market the Site Manager must understand the importance of programme schedules, whilst completing work to a high spec. Health and Safety is of paramount importance, as sites can vary between schools, prisons and health. The Site Managers must also deal with customer liaison, handovers and aftercare.
Qualifications/Skills Required
The successful candidate will have a number of years experience working in a similar role on small works programmes.
The role is open to candidates from either trades or HNC/Degree background, but a strong understanding of health & safety is essential.
It is also important the right candidate possesses a CSCS card and has a good understanding of computer programmes used on site. In return you will be given excellent rate of salary with benefits.
