Job Description

Our client requires a Software Consultant to make a significant contribution to the development/enhancement of advanced software products, mainly for the Life Science market.

They require someone who can hit the ground running, to work in a fast moving environment as a proactive member of a small team, willing to get their hands dirty while undertaking multiple roles and maintaining an up-to-date skill set.

Pre-Sales Support
·Provide technical support during sales meetings
·Draft proposals and discussion notes
·Prepare functional demo applications to show potential clients
·Produce accurate project cost and time estimates
·Assist in preparation of marketing collateral

Project / Team Leadership
.Manage progress and budget
·Plan tasks and manage resources
·Ensure quality is maintained
·Oversee production of relevant project documentation
·Main client contact, manage expectations and implement change control
·Manage product releases, co-ordinate client training and feedback

Product Development
·Experience of full product lifecycle
·Design and architecture development
·Hands on product development including testing
·Supporting Build and Test Systems
·Product deployment, system configuration and integration at client sites
·End user training
·Post-sales support

Account Management

Possibility of managing client accounts and opportunities, depending on experience.

Qualifications / Technical Skills required:

Essential:
·Significant OO software design and implementation experience
·Minimum1st or 2:1 degree in science based domain (or conversion degree)
·No less than 5 years experience
·C#

Leadership experience in a formal or informal capacity is of significant interest as is a desire to be involved with clients, both pre-sales and post-sales.
