Established in 1984, this company has expanded it's activities to include a range of integrated services within the commercial and industrial market. These cover project management, design, supply, installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical installations.
They now operate throughout the UK undertaking installation projects in commercial and public sector buildings, retail outlets and education and medical facilities on behalf of major construction companies.
In 2007, the company moved into their new flag ship headquarters north west of Leeds city centre which encompasses a dedicated design and CAD department within 12,000 square feet of open plan office area.
As Sub-contract Procurement Manager you will be working as part of the surveying team reporting to the Commercial Manager.
Your role will be the procurement of sub-contractors on various sized contracts which deal with all sectors of the construction industry.
You role will include involvement with enquiries, selection, pre-order meeting and formalisation of subcontract packages.
The role is a permanent position and you will be a key member of the commercial team working on multi million pound projects.
With an order book of around £80million the future is looking very bright for this Leeds based contractor who has a well established reputation for quality of work done and the professionalism upheld during all work undertaken.
Qualifications/Skills Required
Applications are welcomed from candidates who are experienced in a procurement role. Ideally you should have gained good experience working within a building services contractor and be used to dealing with sub-contractors from all disciplines of the construction industry.
You should be comfortable when negotiating agreements with clients and closing deals as this will be a big part of your job.
You should be comfortable when working as part of a close knit team and also be able to develop relationships with existing and new clients.
It would be beneficial if you have good experience of how a building services contractor operates and should ideally be working within a building services contractor at the moment however this is not essential. If you have experience of working in a similar role in the construction industry this will be taken into consideration.
