SUPERVISOR - ENGINEERING PROGRAMS

The position is based at the Sharjah Men’s College in UAE and the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Provide academic leadership to faculty and students to optimize the learning environment
• Manage the delivery of courses offered by the department and promote excellence in teaching and learning practices
• Liaise with local industry to ensure the relevance of the programs to the needs of the workplace
• Take a lead quality assurance role in the college with respect to programs in the department
• Assist in development and continual evaluation and modification of Engineering Programs
• Ensure effective and efficient operations of programs by monitoring, maintaining and implementing budget and related expenses

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Masters degree with specialization in Electronics / Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
• Doctorate preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience at a supervisory level
• Should have at least 3 years of relevant teaching / training experience
• Should have minimum 3 years of practical experience in a relevant commercial / industrial environment
• Prior experience in curriculum development including materials development preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Good knowledge in using computers
• Superior interpersonal, team-building and leadership skills to work effectively in a dynamic, cross cultural environment
