Job Description

Our client, a recognized leader in the support of electronics OEMs, is looking for a focused supply chain leader to manage supply chain activities on site and continuously drive the department forward.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

-to implement best practice solutions
-take lead on purchasing strategy
-manage key suppliers
-manage goods in/stores/purchasing
-incorporate the use of demand-pull systems to minimize inventory
-ensure active cost-reduction programmes are maintained
-implement and oversee the supplier development process

The client is looking for a supply chain professional of at leat 7 years experience, with 3 years in management.

The successful applicant will be able to show evidence of providing cost benefit, have a working knowledge of modern procurement methods, and the ability to develop, negotiate and manage new contracts. In-depth knowledge of MRP systems, and knowledge of Electro Mechanical Engineering will be distinct advantages.
