Job Description
Our client, a globally renowned transport company bases in London, is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to come in and take on a role that is being vacated. We are looking for a professional with about 5-7 years supply chain experience to lead the department.
The position-holder will take responsibility for supply chain activities, take ownership of UK objectives and focus on ensuring continuous improvement within the function.
The main objectives of the role will be as follows:
-Implement best practice supply chain solutions
-Lead purchasing
-Develop supplier relationships
-Ensure cost reduction is driven continuously
-Manage key suppliers
-Ensure continuous improvement activity
The successful applicant will have experience of management within the supply chain along with a proven ability to provide cost benefit, and an understanding of modern procurement methods. Experience in an engineering related field will be advantageous.
