A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker, working with Adults with Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour.
The residential unit operates a Keyworker system for the client group. This system allows the client to have a named individual responsible for assisting them with their needs and aspirations. This system works from a Person Centred Approach to care and allows the individual input into their care planning, as well as enabling them to make choices about their day to day lives and the risks that they may wish to take in a safe environment. Part of the role of the Keyworker is attending review meetings with the clients, which are held twice a year and are also attended by the multi-disciplinary team working with them. The Keyworker also works alongside the client and the team to help them to access education and community facilities, as well as more structured day services, at a level that is appropriate to the clients abilities and needs.
All applicants must have relevent experience, be eligible to work in the UK and hold an Enhanced CRB Disclosure dated within the last 12 months.
