Job Description

My London based rail client requires an experienced Technical Manager to improve the long term reliability of Rolling Stock within one of their Main Depots.
The main duties to be expected are:
• Responsibility for the management of all technical issues associated with rolling stock
• Responsible for providing technical assurance to the Fleet Manager that the fleet is safe to operate in service
• Managing a team of engineers and trainers
• Initiation of changes to maintenance regimes to improve fleet reliability
• Initiation of modifications to rolling stock to improve fleet reliability
• Analysis and reporting of failure data
• Responsible for taking immediate action to prevent a re-occurance of failures and to implement recommendations.
Required Skills
• Indepth knowledge of rolling stock operations
• 3 years managerial experience within an engineering team
• Technical knowledge of rolling stock control systems, including GTO Thryisor Control, power controllers, ATO/ATP train safety systems, train diagnostic equipment
• Honours Degree in electrical/electronic engineering
