Unit Manager - Lifestyle Protection Claims (Travel Insurance)
To lead and develop a unit of claims staff within an operational centre to deliver claims resolution in line with business goals & operational plans.
You will deliver the business plan and KPIs through application of resource management tools and proactive management of performance and quality targets. Champion implementation of corporate initiatives and ensure unit compliance with Company policies, processes and quality standards.
The successful candidate will manage 4-5 team leaders, directly, and 50-80 people indirectly.
Awareness of business environment, distribution and business strategy.
Able to organise resources and improve processes, and to deliver business plans and KPI's. Working knowledge of insurance principles, products, policies and claims procedures, and relevant legislation and compliance requirements, as well as Sound knowledge of claims processes.
Strong motivational and leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of HR processes and people management skills.
Skilled at developing and maintaining internal and external customer relationships and delivering customer satisfaction.
Adept at communication, report writing and presentations.
Experience
5 years experience of team management.
Typically 10 years insurance experience.
