Job Description
This is a great opportunity for either a Senior Usability Designer, or a User experience manager, to take the next step in their career. Our client is currently looking for a new User Experience specialist, to manage the implementation and development of the company online web user experience standards and methodologies inside their ebusiness strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide User Experience representation on application development projects, working with outside agencies, consultants, and managers to accomplish project goals
• Represent User Experience standards and protocols to ensure that the Group websites effectively expand to achieve the company strategies
• Apply Interactive Marketing Communications' mission to nurture a user-centric online relationship with our constituents
• Enhance cross-functional marketing plans for a positive User Experience and ensure synergy between print and web communications
• Maintain the day-to-day project and communications flow required on assigned web projects
• Lead User Experience topics in Interactive Marketing Communications meetings, discussions, and planning
• Assist and advise Web Consultants on User Experience components of all projects
• Manage budget responsibilities on project by project basis as requested
• Foster an atmosphere of teamwork within Interactive Marketing Communications and across the entire Marketing department
User Interface
• Refine and enforce usability standards, including style guides, editorial tone, and user interface consistency, across all the company Web properties
• Proactively audit, refine, and present new user experience concepts across all Web properties and audiences
• Work with technology partners to balance user needs with technological integration
Usability Testing
• Establish and foster usability testing resources, including user groups, external usability consultants, and user-centered design presentations
• Manage usability testing and focus group research
• Identify and attend usability seminars and conferences to continually refine expertise and team knowledge-sharing
Job Requirements
• Bachelors' Degree in Communications or Computer Science preferred
• Demonstrated ability to create, conduct, measure, and analyze usability tests
• Experience designing multiple types of user interfaces, from basic websites to complex enterprise applications
