Job Description
Our client seeks a strong customer focus Web Analyst to join the IT and Web Design Department of one our most valued clients and one of the UK's most respected brands. You will report directly to the Head of Department & your main responsibility will be to drive forward improvements to the customer experience and conversion of the ecommerce web site. The ability to analyse business processes and aggressively influence business strategy are both critical skills. Close contact will also be required across many other areas of the business: Marketing, Merchandising etc.
The role requires a team player with self-confidence, assertiveness and personal motivation. Excellent analysis skills, a creative approach to problem solving and an in-depth interest in web sites and online retailing are all essential. Everything must be considered from the viewpoint of current and potential the company's customers. You will have a third level education with 3 to 4 years commercial / ecommerce experience.
Essential requirements knowledge and experience in the following areas.
• Web site functional design & usability
• Full project lifecycle appreciation.
• Web site technologies (HTML, Web Browsers, etc.).
• Business process analysis skills (appreciation of SSADM, etc).
The following skills would also be of benefit but training will be provided if required.
• Accessibility design and testing
• Usability testing
• Web analysis tools (e.g. Omniture SiteCatalyst)
