This is the opportunity for a Web Technical Architect to make his next career move into a higher management position. The successful candidate will work in a leadership/managerial capacity to redefine, develop and deliver our client's corporate web services (internet, intranet, B2B, B2C) strategy and capability.

The Technical Architect will be expected to:

• Be responsible for planning, leading and managing all design and strategic activities within the Application Development team which includes multiple applications development, maintenance, and enhancements projects utilizing various computing architectures and platforms
• Provide leadership and direction to diverse project teams (technical and functional professionals)
• Lead and mentor a team of individuals in evaluating the capabilities of technology
to meet business needs, partly by capitalizing on emerging technologies and partly by adapting existing technologies to the needs of the customer

Required Skills:
• Experience as a Technical Architect with both Java J2EE and .Net technologies.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology of web services architecture and project management
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of the full software development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, Information Technology practices and methods.
• Knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in mainframe, midrange and PC computing environments, tools, and middle ware is critical, including development technologies and scripting languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, J2EE, ASP, ASP.NET, VB, HTML/XML, .Net, COM, DCOM, Windows, ODBC, RDBMS, COBOL, RPG)
• 5+ years job specific work experience with demonstrated professional growth and achievement.
• 2+ years in a lead architect/supervisory capacity leading diverse and cross functional work groups
• Broad-based information systems architecture, technical management or business experience in a dynamic high-technology environment
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills & abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
