Job Description
Primary Tasks:
1. Manage the delivery of Welfare to Women's Section clients.
2. Organise and manage the day to day running of the Welfare Department.
3. Supervise the work of the Welfare Officers.
4. Assess applications for assistance and authorizing grants as appropriate.
5. Service and act as Secretary of President's Award Scheme Committee.
6. Appoint County Welfare Co-Ordinators and Welfare Visitors (Caseworkers) and ensure that they receive up-to-date and relevant information to carry out their duties.
7. Develop a training programme for the voluntary Caseworkers.
8. Liaise with other organizations in order to maximize assistance for individual cases.
9. Undertake presentations on the work of the Women's Section internally and to other interested parties.
10. Provide timely and useful Welfare statistical reports to the National Officers, National Secretary and committee as requested.
11. Attend the annual National Conference and undertake all duties as required/
